84 boats. One metre yachts. One World Championship.

In May 2026, some of the world’s best radio sailors came to Datchet Water to contest the IOM World Championship.

Now you can relive an extraordinary week of racing in a film that captures not only the competition on the water, but also the people, atmosphere and intensity of a World Championship.

From the start line to the finish, success at this level depends on getting countless decisions right:

Starts → shifts → tactics → boat speed → pressure → mistakes → recovery → winning a World Championship.

For those who were there, the film is a chance to experience the event again. For anyone who has never seen top-level radio sailing before, this is a great place to start.

Watch the IOM World Championship 2026 film:

A huge thank you once again to all the volunteers, the MYA, Datchet Water Sailing Club, Thames Water, sponsors and competitors who helped make the Championship such a memorable event.

And a special thank you to Robyn and Eve at Evergreen, who brought the story together from around 40 hours of footage captured during the Championship.

We hope you enjoy the film and, if you do, please share it with sailors, clubs and anyone who might enjoy discovering what top-level radio sailing is all about.
