Sailing the Proteus at the top end of A and B rig

We always thought the Proteus to be a bit nosey at the top end of each rig. Today at Datchet we proved that point sailing in 20 to 40mph wind and waves in B and C rigs and now go in search of more buoyancy at the front end without damaging the upwind speed that we have today. It takes a long time to develop a boat and use it in all conditions which may not always be forthcoming.

So what we have is a fast boat in light to medium weather but there is work to do to make an all round successful design. One thing is for sure. It will not be long before the mods are in place and tested always subject to the weather of course. The journey continues.
