Spent the day at Frensham tuning the boat and racing in a perfect Nor East breeze. This provides steady winds and chop enabling me to experiment with minor changes to the bowsies on the backstay and mast rake as well as practice tacking in a chop.
The horrible green clumpy weed has gone and been replace by what I can only describe as grass cuttings which have the hidden benefit of blocking out the light into the pond this preventing weed Growth. If you are contemplating coming to Frensham for the open meeting, sign up now as we will have a great day. In ten or so races today, there was no evidence of annoying weed.
