Marblehead ranking weekend at Fleetwood

We are sailing at one of the best facilities in the country but unfortunately the wind did not get the email and is forecast to blow across the lake all weekend with gusts up to 40 on Saturday and Sunday. On the plus side the lake is situated approx 20 feet below the esplanade road and in the lee of 3 and 4 storey buildings so we should be sailing but on some interesting courses, zigzagging up and down the lake which is one of the pleasures of radio sailing. The other plus factor is it will be reasonably dry for the weekend although as I write this at 9.30pm on `Friday night, the rain is hammering onto the roof of the van

Whatever happens, it will be great fun and I look forward to doing better than the last Marblehead ranking outing. I will let you know how it goes.

Fleetwood - What did I learn

Marbleheads are just the best boats to sail. Fast, tricky to set up well but go like the clappers when you get it right. There is a report on the event on facebook MYA downwind along with a lot of go
