Thought for the day - Update on topping lift

I sailed at Gosport yesterday with a B rig and noticed the the thin bungee i was using to tension the topping lift was too tight and forced the jib leech open. I replaced the bungee with a much softer elastic band today so all should be good for the Ranking event at Two Islands this weekend. Fingers crossed this will keep the topping lift tensioned just enough without softening the leech of the jib.

The forecast is not looking great for Saturday with no wind but better for Sunday with 10 knots. A rigs rule. One day I will use my B and C rig in a competition.
