It seems a long time ago in a galaxy far away

There was a time when I raced a boat which was fast, held a good lane of a start line and delivered results. Since November when I first acquired an Alioth, I experienced challenges and needed to learn a few things about boat balance, weight distribution and layout. To say it was a difficult first half of the season........

I have written about the story but I am pleased to report that I finally have the performance I knew I could achieve with this boat. It is a pleasure to race in a fleet of 20 boats, be able to hold a lane off the start line and have a tiny bit of a speed advantage. It was a great relief at the end of racing this week to know now I have a good platform with a robust configuration on which to build for October.

Game on.
