Thought for the day - An excellent training day at Frensham

On Tuesday 29/3/22 we had a perfect NE wind which runs straight down Frensham pond leading to perfect conditions. The racing was one sided but it was a day to practice manoeuvring and getting a perfect boat setup. It was also an opportunity to help one of the members improve the setup of his boat and we were both very pleased with the result. We talked about how the mast was controlled in thirds with the ram, shroud tension and backstay and after a few minutes tweaking and experimentation had his mast and sails looking smooth with the right twist and depth and that translated into excellent boat speed.

Next stop is Emsworth on Sunday. Golf is still interfering with practice. Hard to run two sports in parallel but the golf is going well.
